We’re delighted to be working on one of the biggest and boldest proposed city developments in the world at the moment.

Egypt’s New Capital City is a £30 billion plan aimed at creating a new sustainable capital between Cairo and the Suez Canal.

The scale is incredible; 12 times the size of Manhattan, seven times the size of Paris, it will accommodate five million people, create one million jobs, and involve building 2,000 schools and colleges.

The aim is to ease congestion and alleviate pressure on a capital that is already overwhelmed and predicted to soar from 18 million to 40 million within 40 years.

Uniform has been commissioned by masterplanners SOM to create an eight minute film to communicate the project, explaining the vision to stakeholders including the Prime Minister of Egypt. We also created several design development CGIs to demonstrate the quality and style of the city, architecture and public realm.

The commission comes on the back of our work on Downtown Dubai Promenade, a 500 acre mega development around the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall.
